What is a face serum?

Face serums are highly-concentrated, industrious concoctions which have the ability to drive powerful potent ingredients directly into the skin. They have been cleverly designed to have this incredibly lightweight molecular structure which allows them to penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver potent levels of fast-performing ingredients to the cells that need them most. There is nothing ‘weak’ about a serum – expect hard-hitting and fast results.

Why should I use one?
Serums allow you to focus on a specific skin concern (I mean it could be absolutely anything) whether it be dehydration, lack of radiance, unbalanced skin, lines and wrinkles, skin slackening or uneven skin tone to name just a few. You might consider serums to be like medicine!  They are prescriptive to your skin’s needs and they rev up your existing skincare regime paving the way to a flawless complexion.

What is the difference between a serum and a face oil?
Serums are water-based and considered highly-concentrated.  They are designed to be layered underneath your moisturiser. Because the molecule structure of a serum is very small it is able to work deeply into the lower layers of the skin.  A facial oil has a larger molecular structure and is designed to sit on the surface of the skin and keep it skin nourished and moist.

How and when do I apply a serum?
Choose your skincare concern and the remedy serum and every morning and evening apply 1-2 pumps pressing it into the skin rather than rubbing.  Follow with your daily moisturiser. If you have multiple skincare concerns then you can mix and match your serums alternating them morning and evening, monthly or seasonally.
